hi all, just wanted to know which boot lid seal is best, the one which attaches to the lid or to the car instead ? or is there any difference between the two ? also do you have to have a certain type of lid to attach the seal to or will it work with any boot lid ?

personal preference is the one that clips to the boot surround, rather than the lid. my lid has the latter, and i find that it never really sealed properly. i replaced it with the newer style, and its been great! You can use either boot lid, though the if you move from the boot lid seal to the body seal, then you'll be left with lots of holes (where the seal clipped into)

I also have the one that joins to the boot lip not lid. Works well. Keeps out the water. So my vote would be the boot surround one.
