[Mrt88]

So driving home this afternoon minding my own business in then sun then suddenly BANG!

steering Wheel snaps and turns to the left by itself !!

Can nose dives to the left and starts to vier towards the pavement !!

i finally get it stopped, get out walk to the front left to find this.........................................................

Wow, looks like you were VERY lucky. The wing and A-panel still looks in-shape, which I've not seen before after a ball-joint failure.

That is the very first thing that went through my head when the car stoped, luck it didnt happen on L2B !
im fine and luck no one was about so thats the main thing, a ball joint isnt the end of the world.
luckely the wing and Apanel somehow dont have a single mark or dent on them!

I dont know, all the suspentions about 6 months old, bar the ball joints. Teach me to leave a part behind next time.

Ball joints breaking seems to be happening a lot lately, think I may take mine to get checked out

Happened to me in 1990. 1st gear 90 degree right hand bend. No damage whatsoever! Very, very lucky, and scary.

Already got a set of Group 2's in white in the boot, that way i get to keep my white trim
