fiat cinquecento was a very popular mod a few years ago. Has a small motor which doesn't intrude too much

That's interesting... thank for that... cinquecento.

I think i need to pay a visit to my local scrap yard now.

I found this image below online, it shows the inside of the boot area.

You can make out the underside of the rear parcel shelf area (with the two round holes) and at the bottom the top edge of the boot.

The arrow pointing at number 1. is a standard wiper motor by what I can gather.

The arrow pointing at number 2. is the wheel box for the wiper with the link in between the two.

To the right of the wheel box is arrow no. 3 which pointing at what i guess is the underside of awasher jet, as you can see the water hose connecting to it (dotted line)

I just love the idea of doing this modification, regardless of using a mini motor, a rover unit or a fiat one as the end result is the same... a working rear wiper. Thinking solution rather than problem clearly works as this photo shows.

Hello,

After reading about a chap who used a fiat Cinquecento motor unit, I thought I would go for this option as my local scrap yard held no rover units :(

So I found a donor car and with my trusty tools (well a screwdriver, socket and a pair of pliers) I removed the entire unit below. :-)

I got the motor, the wiper retaining nut, some of the wiring, the rubber cover/seal as well as the water jet and its full mount. Now all I have to do according to the chap is fit it... lol

This is where It looks like I will have to think about things before I start making holes, like where to mount it etc. I love a challenge, i also need a mini wiper arm, and to make it fit on this.
