ha ha, i think with a few mods my car would have all the bad points on here!!

anyway, heres mine.

i don't like flushed boot lids............but i dont like two tone tinted windows either, but which don't i like most? theirs only one way to find out................FIGHT!!!!

I dislike just about any over the top mods on the exterior of a Mini, mostly body kits, massive stickers on the car, and I'm not fond of clear rear lights either, the car looks less colourful.

if you change too much about a Mini, it just isn't a Mini anymore...just my opinion.

Interior mods don't bother me so much though, and I like to see what people do with their seats and dashboards, so long as it isn't too over the top.

I personally think that looks awful. I also hate adverts like that with huge annoying fonts. At least it wasn't all in capitals

+1 for clear lenses, stupid exhausts and tinted windows.

Subtle changes I have no problem with, but also depends on the car I'd be more tolerant with an 80's mini as there are still a fair few around but less with a MK1 or 2

I'm pretty tolerant of most mods, but I have a few dislikes.

Cars that are low, just for the sake of being low. Quick release engine mounts, they simply do no hold the engine in place.
Smooth bootlids.

Apart from that, most common mods to mini's can be what make them stand out. So im pretty easy going. It's nice to walk around a show and for everyone to have something different. :)




edit: ooooo ooooo oooh and stretched tyres!!! just looks like you can't afford the right tyres to me.

mirrors from another car (they are normally way too big and look stupid)
dashboards from other cars such as a Ka,

7 pages and no ones mentioned them stupid 'bad boi' headlight sticker things!!!

Why would anyone ever even think about putting them on their car?!!!

And also HID lights! So far I've managed to drive for 10 years seeing perfectly okay in the dark.... unless the nights have got darker, I really cant see the need to blind everyone and everything in your path!!!

Modifications are only a problem when you come to sell a car, go to far and it doesn't matter how much money and time you put into it the value will only go down. There are well know period modified cars that I don't really like some aspects of (MK 1 to MK 3), but if you changed them back to standard now they would loose (historic and £) value. Good job we all have different tastes ! (and ditch the clear lense's on the back, the fronts are fine as long as they are glass Lucas ones)

+1 to body kits.

Also not a big fan of roof decals. When I bought mine it had a chequered roof and chequered wing mirrors, but I took them off because they looked a bit tacky.
