Agree with you there, what clear rear lights tinted? Haven't quite decided whether they're chavvy or not

I don't think tinted or smoked are bad at all, although those "jewelled" lenses are a little ostentatious for my taste

Mine has those

Just bought some Mk2 clusters though so going to tint those black and put those on instead, I do agree with you though

I had a roof rack, but I didn't put junk on it or have it on there just for the sake of it

i wonder how long the mini scene would of lasted if it was not for people modding there cars and had to stay standard. it would fall into the same class as most of the boring cars that have been and gone

sorry to sound like everyone else, but i agree with everything posted already.

massive wheels
clear rear lenses
headlamp peaks
roof stickers
and one i didnt notice anyone else comment on is those bloody centre consoles, my god they are rubbish. they would be fine in an auto but in a manual, you cant press the clutch properly, plus they do look like something made in a shed, which is basically what they are!

oh, and the rat look thing, god thats annoying. leave it for the vw blokes. dont try to make excuses for having a ******* car, and rattle can painting it matt black is fine on a lead-sled, but it just looks like you cant afford a decent paint job.

I think a few people have got the wrong end of the stick, my ex gitlfriends old mini, had pretty much everything mod I dislike, but she loved it, so I left her to it. Also, I don't like what I've mentioned, but I'd never ever, dream of saying what that I don't really like someone's car, and they should change it all, as I wouldn't want every car to be indentical, or nearly identical to
mine!

My absolute hate is Black & Silver plates on Post 73 cars!! Actually despite the leaglities I don't mind it so much on 74-82 registrations, but on anything later than that it doesn't look retro, period or cool it just looks ridiculous!!

I have to disagree with the "Rat Look" comments though. If its' done well, then I just love the "Rat Look", but it has to be a good solid car that's made to look a bit tired and beaten up though (prefferably a bit of a sleeper, with a monster under the bonnet too), not just a poorly mainatained shed that's falling apart. I love the retro roof racks full of rims, umbrellas, old suitcases and other bits too. Okay it's not as original as it once was, but it still makes a welcome change from all the usual "off the shelf" period mods, or the slightly chavved up racer look.

what the hell has happened here? This was just a bit of a laugh. Most people on here appreciate the work that goes into each mini. And more importantly, if everyone liked the same stuff it would be a very boring place. No one likes every single thing they see.
