Roller Painting With Hammerite

As for buffing, from reading threads on rolledon forums, it seems that 800 is the preferred between every 2 coats or so.
I wouldn't use a powered polisher yet as the paint will probably be pretty soft for a month or so if it's anything like rusto and you might just burn a hole.

DISASTER!
My gazebo ended up on next doors roof....
Painting has come to a halt....
Get the mini up there too, problem solved
I suspect mine might end up a similar fate if the wind keeps up...

I'm 'lucky' in that the driveway is pretty much surrounded by high (20' +) trees, a 6' fence and double gates, so the wind flow in minimal. Going to chop the font posts a little tomorrow to bring the edge of the roof just below the top of the gate to minimise any lift off.
Hope you get yours back sharpish.

There's 2! One on each side at the bottom of the engine, between it and the subframe and they look a lot like the front bottom sub frame mounts.
2 bolts hold them to the engine (per side) and 2 to the subframe.
There's also the engine steadies, one is at the top and attaches to the bulkhead but you may also have one at the bottom too which attaches to the sub frame.

It may be worth at the end, to sum up peoples experiences with different paints/ thickness's. To aid other users for example:
Paint: xxxxx
Thickness: 50:50 (paint : thinners)
Notes: Causes runs on vertical surfaces if too much paint applied, otherwise very good, levels well, deep shine etc etc.
This would help save people having to experiment and sift through this whole thread trying to find the basic information they are really after!
Keep up the good work!

Brilliant results really chuffed to see your hard work paying off!
As for verticle surfaces....my bonnet and boot were strung up in the garage and 50/50 mix was fine with no runs! have not done a verticle panel on the car as of yest ave for the front wing, again no issues ....think it may be down to how much paint is loaded onto the roller...
Catch you laters

Alos used a 5mm artist brush (bought in a pack of like a million form the pound shop) after washing in white spirit and squashing etc to get rid of any loose bristles and painted the a bit of the windscreen surround (50/50) coverage not brilliant as can still see the paint underneath however was brush mark free. May try 100% paint and see how that goes on and go from there.
Also remember what i said about wire wool.......well tried to flatten the slight dimples on the roof with 400g wet and dry and it was taking ages so used on a small area 00 grade (dry) wire wool ever so lightly and the dimples disappearead after only a couple of passes. this leaves a dull roof with a matt finish with only fine scratches similar to 400g rerady for 1200 sanding.
still no spark !! AAAHHHH !! Too hot to faff about so now tuning carb on my Triumph.
Cheers

This time I'm going with about 40% spirit, I was planning on 30% but given the heat a little more won't hurt.
Don't think I have any graded wire wool, do have some scouring pads though so may try them somewhere inconspicuous
First job will be a 10% thinned mix of black around the window edges though, once that's dry I'll get the glass back in, which should hopefully make it appear I'm getting somewhere and encourage me to carry on.
Oh yeah... Bonnet and bootlid, should probably paint those as well
The bonnet i'm going to cut in the edges with a near neat mix, just for a good coating and once that dries I'll refit it and paint it on the car, as I lack anything to put it on and if I hang it up it will either be out of reach to get the top or practically on the floor
