I budgeted about £1800 for my restoration on my 94 Spi. Well currently it's at £6000 and counting.
That's without the engine rebuild and components, security and misc bits.

All very familiar!

I'm probably a 3rd of the way through my project. Excluding tools and equipment I've spent about £3000 so far (£1800 parts - £1200 consumables), I expect to spend around £10000 to finish the project.

From a tool perspective, I had no more than a basic socket set before I got my mini so I've "invested" an awful lot in tools too.

Ive spent 2000 in the last year getting it to how i want it

and before i bought it the car it had been stripped to bare shell

painted, rewired, rebuilt all going taxed and mot
