my misses works in insurance.

theres a company they use, its based in Ireland and will literally insure anyone.
my misses said they would quote an 18 with a porshe and you'd get a decent quote.

however should you crash, your standard excess is 3.5k and you'll have to pay for pretty much everything afterwards yourself.
they basically give you the documents to get on the road, but if it goes Tits up your basically on your own.

What's the name of this company?
It's definitely an incentive to drive safely (:

With an average quote of around £5500, it's looking impossible that I'll be driving this year, that's even with a pass plus :/

Who've you been trying with?

Everybody, I mean everybody...
Even with a tracker fitted, it still came in at a ridiculous price.
Cheapest was Adrian Flux at £2900, but that was TPFT and I really want fully comp for my pride and joy :(

Have you tried Insure2Drive?

Yup, came back with £5720

Holy shizzle!

They were the cheapest with me at £1500 for my first year, next year are the best with elephant for £890 :proud:

Sometimes if you mention you have relatives insured with companies, that makes a difference.
Endsleigh reckon it would be mucho cheaper if I were of university age, So about 19 ish. I'm 17 now and the woman just said 'It won't be cheap'
At least they're honest!

R.E Footman James, I've been insured with them since I passed my test in April 2010, when I was 18. My Dad said I had a letter through which I expected to be a renewal quote, but was in fact a letter saying they no longer insure people under 25. Sucks. However, I apparently got a quote for under £600 from AVIVA, so every cloud and all that.

Where do you get these quotes from? Footman James with their new underwriters have decided to try and charge me £1120, compared to £742 last year, 1 month after I passed my test and having just turned 18.

I just looked at an online quote from aviva and it was over £1400!
