Hi there,

I am having trouble loacating the Idle Control Valve. If anybody has a picture of it or even a diagram I would be very grateful :)

Many Thanks,

Chris.

I have found it now but thank you very much for your quick reply! I disconnected my battery and reconnected it with the Idle Control Valve disconnected. I kept the engine revving for around 3 minutes and then reconnected the ICV whilst the engine was still running. The car did not seem to cut out when I let off the throttle which I thought was strange. I am still having the same problem, as I will now not rev above 2k revs without coughing and spluttering, even backfiring! What do you think this may be? Do you think I would need to replace the ICV, if so, how much are you willing to sell one for?

Many Thanks,

Chris.

That doesn't sound like the idle control valve (should have no effect on anything other than the idle speed/ stability).

Would be guessing, but when my crank sensor went it caused the same sort of issues. Try wiggling the wire to the crank sensor and see if it goes away?
