We are pretty sure that it is leaking from the passenger side drive shaft, and I mean a nice fresh small puddle every time it stops so it is leaking a fair bit, what're these like to change, engine out job?

Doesn't sound too difficult then, will probably sort it out sometime this week as it's leaking like a sieve

Don't forget to drain the oil first!

I've got to do a RH one tomorrow morning.
Sequence is:
Drain the oil
Undo top & bottom swivel pins and split them supporting the hub on a box
Break the pot joint out of the output shaft using two large screwdrivers or a wedge (oe even the proper Rover tool)
With the shaft clear undo the 5 off 5/16" UNC (1/2" AF) bolts and remove the cover plate.
Replace the oil seal and fit a new gasket.
Replacement is reverse of above.
I always use a bit of Blue Hylomar on those cover plates, but it's up to you.
On the LH side make sure the shims go back in or the diff bearings will not have the correct pre-load
