Maybe worth reading this...

http://www.theminifo...es-it-all-mean/

But a reverse rim is a 4.5"J10 wheel with an offset of approx +15mm and if running disk brakes should really have an arch, or at least a spat..

With yours being +10 then that's 5mm more stickout than the reverse rim... so I'd err on the side of caution and expect to need arches...

the 4.5" S rims have an offset of ET36 to provide the same track as the standard 3.5" rim, so i think the ones above with ET10 would stick out 26mm more than standard

Hi and thank you for the quick answer.

I knew about the Reverse rims made to look like the Cooper S setting, but I didn't know the offset they have. And didn't have it in mind when asking my question ;)

Anyway, putting a Reverse on disc setup will have a much wider track, I read it somewhere.

I may have a look if I can find someone with a 7,5" disc setting and no arches near me to check how it does look on the car.

Regards

Gilles

you may find the following a useful link

https://www.wheeldic...ry.net/10a.html

if you start from the premise that a 4.5" rim with 36mm positive offset on a disk hub does not require arch extensions, then you should be able to get a rough idea of how much a rim will stick out if you know the width and offset

i.e. for every half inch increase of rim width, you would need to increase positive offset by 6mm to keep the outer edge of the rim in the same relative position as a 4.5J10 S rim

Hi again,

to gave some more petrol to the machine and one step forward, I found somebody close to me who accepted to mount my wheels on his car.

It has following settings:

7,5" front discs setup, 1,5° negative camber at the front.

At the back, Cooper S drums and 1,5° negative camber.

Group 5 arches all around.

My wheels are Leyland Trophy, 4,5" wide and ET+10. By the time with 145mm tyres

At the front:

The tyre is about 4cm out of the wing lip.

The calipers will be at least well cooled ;)

At the back:

Again; 4cm overlap of the tyre.

The conclusion is, I will defintiely have to build group 2 arches to work with these wheels...

Best regards

Gilles

Thanks again for your help and getting back to me. Here’s that pic of leyland trophies and group 2s that I said about to give you an idea of how it will look. Think it looks quality. Wish I could find a set of them! Hopefully it helps.
Cheers
