If your going for pure weight advantage, specialised engineering do a lighter set for the same money.

Great news, looking awesome, look forward to more pics of it done. http://www.classiclineinsurance.co.uk/ gave me a pretty good quote, have insured quite a few of the Pro-Motive options I think.

Do you have any picks of the finished build. It was looking good when it came out of paint.

Hi, Riot. Great build and I'm even more excited for you being a fellow R1 mini owner. I've been off the forum for a fair while whilst building mine and am almost there now. I have one of the first Promo kits and also want to turbo the R1. According to the Promo website it isn't possible to turbo the engine on their kit but I don't believe anything is impossible apart from eating your own head and so am going to consider carrying out this mod next year. Please could you tell me exactly what brand/spec components you have as it would really help me get this show on the road. The turbo type and spec would be a great start. PM me if you prefer.
Thanks heaps, bud.

i used a 5pw engine as its injection , but the 5jj and 4xv can also be turbod , all i did was upgrade pistons , power commander , bigger injecters, barnet clutch
