The Drivers seat is stripped and ready to be painted, then off to the trimmers to get it sorted!

Don't you just love a smooth roof on a Van??

Posted Image

Doors with new skins and all looking good, plus a bare metal bonnet.

Posted Image

Front end in bare metal with leaded seams and joints. Hopefully this will be a long term solution to the rust problem.

Mmmmmmm smooth roof looks lush.

Like the idea of leading the seams too.

I tip my hat to you Sir. Thats some cracking work and i like what you've done to salvage the old panels. I done all the panels on my van last year but working outside meant that the rust has already taken a hold so once i've got a garage i'm going to strip it all down for a proper paint job.

Whats involved with lead loading? Is it very hard to do?

My dad does it, and from what I have seen, the hardest thing is keeping it at a temperature that allows it to be dribbled on, but not so hot that it runs off again.
