I’m selling my rover MPI, its bargain time people.
I bought it a while ago with the idea of a daily runner which needed abit of work to keep me happy, i went all the way to Devon for it cause it had the personality shall we say i was looking for.

Buy personality i mean,
1275 MPI
Stage four mini sport head
Burlen throttle body
FSE boost valve
1.5 mini sport roller rockers
Quick shift gear linkage

The owner told me at the same time he had the engine rebuilt, that was about 6000 miles ago. While he had the engine out he found the wings were going so he had new ones put in, plus its sat on newly new yokas with a hi lows and spax dampers and a new rear sub frame. The inside is black leather, walnut dash, alloy handles.

So it has the personality i was after, But then i hit a problem, i saw my blue one that ran away with my heart and my MPI has been sat still since. Hence i have to sell the orange one.
The MPI is no finished project, it has its faults. Chiefly among which is the driver’s door, as far as i know this is the worst of the rust, and can be seen on the picture. There is also some on the scuttle, the two front wings are solid, but he must have ran out of budget because he chose to spray it himself with a rattle can. He did quite a good job for a rattle can, but there isnt quite a match in colour.

Bearing in mind i knew this when i brought it, that’s the worst of its faults. it comes with no mot or tax, as I’ve been running around in my Austin and didn’t see the point. So to that effect, bargin time. I brought it for 2850, i like the car and want to see it put right, so I’m only going to ask for 2000 for it. To leave 800 in its valve to get it back on the road, and sort its faults. I think that’s more than fair, seeing as I’m also toying with the idea of braking it for parts, where I’m sure i would cover that.

Anyway, enough talking feast your eyes on this.

Just found this from your other thread..

If I can talk my folks into a loan I'd be interested in the entire car, but I got a couple questions if you don't mind..

Is that a completely fake fuel tank on the drivers side? Or does it have a small capacity?
What size are the wheels? 6x13?
& would you be interested in haggling the price down?

Also, if I'm unable to take the whole car, what would you want for the seats (front & back)? Should you decide to break it..

EDIT: Another also, what year is it?

Just to help out....

Its a dummy filler neck, to make them look like the old Cooper S' from the 60's and 70's.
And yup, sportspack alloys were 6x13! :D

Thanks! I was getting confused by the little bottle type thing-a-ma-jig on the inside there.. Just wondering what that does >_<
