So I've now got a fiesta brake conversion and was wondering what 10" wheels people have had fit over them. With pictures of clearance etc, could be used as a directory.
I'm hopefully going to be putting my 3.5" steels over them, can anybody tell me what the smallest spacer is need is

I didn't actually get steels to fit, 3.5, 4.5 or reverse rims, even with 1" spacers. I did have gb 004, minator and 100+ fitting without spacers. Dunlop D1 needed a small 1/4" spacer with some caliper smoothing. Any wheel bearing issues would have seen the wheel wrecked though

I was thinking about getting an old calliper and grinding it down, it doesn't seem too far off sitting right and the part of the calliper isn't hollow. Might just try it then do a strength test

I stood my hub assembly up today and put a wheel in place and it does touch the rim, looks like it'll be too much to remove from te calliper. But doesn't look like it will need much of a spacer

Do you reckon 10 x 6 wellers would fit? Got fiesta brakes and thinking of getting a set :)

Found a pretty decent list here, on page 23 about half way down:

Apparently the wellers will fit :)

I'm not sure how you couldn't get 3.5" and 4.5" wheels to fit with an inch spacer. By my test, 10mm is plenty. See pictures below

Looks tight but still clears

By a few mm

However I think I need longer studs

Also I've been reading that thread and there is someone on there who tested how thick the cast was on the callipers. He says with enough ground off to clear the wheels, there is stil about 1/2" of cast there

I got the standard Mk1 rims (3.5"?) to fit over Mk2 Fiesta calipers with some grinding of the caliper and a 5mm spacer. Nice thing about a 5 or 6 mm spacer is you don't need to use longer studs.

Maybe they are larger than the MK I calipers - which is what I used.

Bmc- did you try steelies on your mk1 callipers?
And thanks Jordie, they are mk2 callipers as bought from Jordie.

I'm very tempted with grinding some off the callipers
