Well i have had a go and to my surprise they are not to shabbay at that.
Get these wrapped in either black or blue alcantara
then get some black paint on these grilles
and black paint on these, get the whole lot fitted back into the car and then it should not be long before i can hear the fruits of my labour

Whoa, that's a mess! Is that all standard wiring? Not looking forward to the day when I've got to take mine out!
Good luck with that
Unfortuneatly no, its also central locking, electric windows, all the regular dash switches moved to the centre consul, plus i have fitted the whole loom inside the car, so i have no wires running around the engine bay, it's all in the front wings. Have you finished your build, as your thread has just seemed to stop?
Ha, no where near finished. I decided to put it on hold until Ive sorted the rust. Then I want to do something similar to yours quality wise. Gonna try and attempt at creating the Wood and picket margrave dash. Should look good if I get it right.

The infinity's have gone to be replaced with Absolute 2.3, with my home made grilles
And lastly my modified factory dash in all it's glory
Then realised i needed grilles on my tweeters
All thats hopefully left to do is some final tuning, and i should be set for a very sweet sounding drive around.

What the red bit around the dash?
Grey trim not black or blue?
And who said you need grills? EMMA?
Otherwise I can't wait to get my hands on it.

With the grills, are they not meant to be a bit more closed off? So the cones can't be 'poked'?
Ohh, and is this blue enough? http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5ad100508c
Cheers

Decided i dont like the tweeter mounts or the bars across them
so went from this
to this
i think it looks so much cleaner. Now just need to make some new mounts for them.

Looks fantastic mate, really well done. Just curious as everyone here seems pretty on the ball with the finer points of audio engineering. Is there a maximum size of a solid grille I can put on a sub that won't hinder the quality? I notice you use mesh but I am hoping to have a piece of cut stainless steel in the shape of a logo and mount across the sub as a grille. Sorry for high jacking the thread a tad. Shame there aren't many good sound off's here in Oz.
