Anyone tried putting Audi TT seats in a Mini ? I've searched TMF and only found info saying that the Audi A3 seats that fit well, but nothing for the TT seats.

Got a 3.2 v6 quattro outside mate, will measure up tommorow - they're the heated ones. They should do, as the TT has a really low roof, and the quattro has a wide transmission tunnel, so the seats are quite narrow!

I thought as much regarding the dimensions
I've been offered some 3.2v6 Quattro red leather heated seats (to match with my red interior). Perfect that you have responded ! :proud:

They look great, but the scrappy wants £250 for them plus shipping ! However, they are red leather though. No way I would have another colour (even they would prob be £100 quid less or so)

I could retrim my front Spi style seats for £240 (they are MUCH more expensive to retrim than the pre 93 seats), but damn those TT Quattro seats look great in red leather

Look forward to your measuring results !
^_^

The TT seats are VERY comfy too, hold the body well, without being too deep! £250 is a bargain, as we were quoted £1100 each for the replacements when a heater unit failed!
Are they from a mk1 or mk2 TT? I can only measure the mk1 tommorow!

Will post the measurements up tommorow! If they dont fit, look at a set of mg zr seats, I've got them in mine and bloody hell they're comfy, can hack them and heat them too!

Will measure the following;

Height from floor, on subframes.
Height from base of seat. No subframes.
Width, at top, bottom and middle.
Width along bottom cusion, front, rear and middle.
Depth/length - from front 'adjusting' handle, to rear of seat.

The seats recline, and flip forward to allow for passengers too - you might be onto a great idea with these! Wonder if my MG seats would suit the TT, they might be going missing ;)

Well they are Mk1's so that's great. What I'm also happy about is that you say that £250 is a bargain. Hmmmmm.
Thanks for measuring - looking forward to it.

I am sooooo tempted by them

edit MG ZR seats ? I'll have to look into that - I've seen that you can get them in red too -ooh

Just had a look at some MG ZR BRM seats, which do you prefer aesthetically ? The Mk1 Quattro or the BRM's (both in red) as I might be able to get hold of some if I look around my local Rover contact ?

Are they the ones for sale on Eastern Auto Deals ebay page? They do look really nice!
Good luck, heater controls for the heated seats are £25 each ontop of that too, so get on the phone to them and try and haggle the switches for them too! Explain what you're going to be fitting them to, and you might get money off for your madness - it's worked with most my vtec parts!

As for the zr seats - I prefer the TT ones, but they come a very close second, and they're dead comfy! Got mine in half leather, black. Suit the black interior perfectly. And they're rover too, so keeps the heritage a bit!

Thanks for the advice - especially regarding which one's you think look better. Will see about the heated seat switches - have no idea if I can get them working on a Mini though !

If you get the switches, and can mount them somewhere - they only require 12V! :)

The restoration was put on hold as I decided to do a nut and bolt restoration (engine, gearbox rebuilt included) after finding a huge number of bodges. Out of the paint shop now. Taking it slowly and aiming for completion in late March. PM near the time and I'd be happy to send you pics of the seats in
