I've got some etch primer and colour for the centres, and have started to rub down the rest of the wheels, but it does take a very long time.

I wasn't happy with the finish I achieved, so went and got some more wet 'n' dry paper and started again.
I rubbed them down with 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000 grit paper
