When the mini is running the temperture gauge bounces and the petrol gauge, but the petrol gauge doesnt register any petrol
is it the voltage regulator not working causing this, how can i check if it is working.

The temperture gauge seems to work but not the petrol gauge i have petrol in and power at the sender unit

hi the mostly cause a bad earth somwhere. But what gauges does your mini have ie separate 52mm smith gauges, or standard mini gauge behind stearing wheel. Voltage stabilizer can be likely culprit.
Hope I can help little more..

if temp gauge and fuel gauge stop working you'll have to test the voltage stabilizer. Please check you conection underneath front panel near wiper motor.Old wiring can be right nightmare with corroaded connection blackened cabling. :ohno: Your Ritz is getting on a bit now and the wiring if orignal will be getting tired.. -_-

sorry that where you'll find wire to fuel sender.. also try disconecting the temp wire on the temp sender and earthing spade terminal directly to engine if working correctly temp gauge should go to max...
