keep your eye on gumtree/ebay etc for vans in London, they're going dirt cheap at the minute thanks to uncle Boris not wanting smelly vans in London!

Insurance wise it's not too bad, try a company called Brentacre, mines £450 a year with breakdown cover on that van. All current and future mods covered, they're really helpful!

My mates got the 3100, nice camera and that was a bargain price!
I've had a play with the 70-200 on a D3x and a few other nice bits of camera kit as one of my other mates a car photographer, i was just scared i was going to drop something and have to sell my mini to pay for it, lol!

there seems to be a lot of mini/T4 owners around! :D

No idea if i'll get round to changing the V5 to a camper, only real benefit i can see is being able to get it back into london without having to pay £100 for the privelidge, but it did mean i got this one from Fulham for the bargain price of £1900 :D

Been out for a drive today to give it a bit of a trial run and had an awesome day!

you also get to drive at 70 MPH on a motorway and 60 on a A road

:o You sold your SX!!

LOVED that car.

That first picture of the different coloured boats is rediculously good. Like, it made me stop and stare for a while. :P

Your bike is also epicly nice. Bet that cost a bit.

Have fun with the van!!

cheers dude :-)

yeah got rid of the 200 to buy another one of these, only really bought it because i was doing a lot of motorway driving at the time and wanted something nice for the journeys. Been missing being able to just jump in the van and ******* off for the weekend so figured it was time to build a new one.

bike was my christmas present to myself, picked it up 2nd hand and part ex'd my old bike against it so thankfully not too expensive :D

Love these vans, what are the pitfalls to look for when buying a cheap one? is there any common major faults?

bodyworks all pretty much ok on them, get a bit of rust on the arches and sills sometimes, and the dents and dings associated with ex builders vans.

engine faults depends on which engine you go for. 2.0 and 2.5 petrol i'd avoid like the plague. then it goes 1.9d, 2.4d, 1.9td, 88hp 2.5tdi, 102hp 2.5tdi like mine :D

the 2.5tdi's seem to be a pain in the arse to get the diesel pumps timed in properly, mines out at the minute and running like a bag of ******* but need to find someone with vagcom to plug it in so i can adjust it mechanically. there also seems to be issues with MAF sensors and a couple of relays.

I'd say the 1.9td seems to have the least major issues from what i've seen on the T4 forum.

Thanks for that, know how you feel about mpg, I'll be moving from a v6 MGZS which does about 20mpg if driven frugally
