Hi guys,

Just found the Mini Forum and enjoying reading the posts! Great website. Would love to travel to the UK one of these days.

Have owned Minis since 1986; all the details on my website Toybox Racing.

I actually love cheese...but the kind you eat not the reference to cheap O_O products!

Here are some general pics of the Minis we have now:

#68 in 1970, Portland Oregon when the car raced in SCCA C-Sedan class.

#68 when we purchased the car in 2005, needing a complete restoration.

#68 just after we completed the restoration in 2006.

#921 at Mosport in 2010, Andy driving.

#921 at Mosport in 2011.

Our 1967 Austin Cooper S, with about 40,000 original miles and the mostly original paint.

Right now both the race cars are apart in the garage. #921 needs a complete resto due to an accident at Mosport, and #68's engine is on the bench awaiting refresh. Lots of work to do before race season!

Cheers,

Rachel

Thanks guys for the kudos. The cars are a blast and so much fun to drive!

There is a great write up and many excellent detailed photos of #68 on Curtis Jacobson's British Racecar Forums site. Check it out at http://www.britishra...tin-CooperS.htm He has all sorts of cars on there in similar detail.

Cheers,
Rachel

Welcome Rachel !!!

Rachel and Andy helped me out with several details during the restoration of my Mini. They are a great couple with great cars. My regret is that they live so very far away!

It's great to see you here!

Mk1leg, pity you had to sell the S, but the replacement looks very nice! I hope that we never have to part with our 1967 S, but times change and so do priorities. Last year we sold the 1071S we restored to a good friend in Oregon, and the car went to a good home - no regrets.

Doug, we are now only 13 hours from you, since we moved from the West......We are just past that big waterfall up North. Would love to see your car one of these days and meet you person. It has been great following your restoration over the years, and the car looks awesome. Hope we can visit you one day (an East Coast tour is in the works).

Cheers,
Rachel
