has anyone replaced one of these? On my 97 cooper i only have 1 set of keys.
I'm looking to get another for back up. How easy you sync these with the car?

Do you have a local rover garage with the equipment? The dealer I work at has all the equipment required to supply and programe a new fob and key if required but were a bit far from you i think.

You can get this done at your local Timpsons branch, they stock and program Rover key fobs.
However when I enquired about the cost, they said it was £125, including getting an ignition key cut. When I said no thanks and started to walk ok they said "ok we'll do it for £110". Still too much for me though so I didn't bother getting one.
I have seen 'learning fobs' on e bay a few times, for £10 - £20. You supposedly put them next to your original fob, press a button on the original fob and on the new fob simultaneously, and it programs the new fob. That's probably the cheapest way to do it, if they work.

Thanks i will look into it, I have seen the remote key site before on GOOGLE and wanted to know if it was expensive, Seems ok compared to Timpsons,
