New bumpers fitted two weeks ago already showing rust spots - not impressed! Has anyone else witnessed this "quality" of product before from Mini Sport?

My chrome overriders do the same. Waxoyl the underneath, and get some Autosol for the outsides. I've put a layer of bodywork wax on the outside as well now. I'm not sure if it will make any difference but I thought it was worth a try!

All my other brightwork in stainless steel, and it's a real pain having these chrome bits.

its not just Mini Sports chrome bumpers that do this the quality of chroming has dropped off, but why did you buy Chrome ones when there are cheap stainless ones around that only need a buff up and they shine for years

Just put car wax over the top, this helps create a barrier to stop water getting to the metal, but if the corrosion has already started i don't know what to suggest.
