This is a great build-up, reminds me of when I was doing mine - with the help of my pops too!
I'm hoping to return to it again later this year, after the wedding, as I've not done any work on it since 2008!!

Right as promised I have a little bit of an update!

Started off this weekend by making a repair piece to neatley repair this section:
20130704_173406_zps928e89cd.jpg

We had bought some steel angle from the bristol miniday, which was 20mm by about 50mm.
with one bend already on we had to set about puting one more in.

once the piece had been trimmed to length, this was the product.

For now we are not going to weld this in untill we have got the more important things
finished.

Next we looked at repairing the corners of the bottom half of the bulkhead where it meets
the toe board on both sides. Also we fully welded the bulkhead to the toe board.

Next we finished welding the passnger side inner wing to the bulkhead.

After this we finished welding the scuttle repair on the drivers side.

Thats it for the pickup. Whilst i was out driving today I came across a disabled guy who had used a
1275 mini engine and front subframe to make a trike.

Thought this was pretty cool!

alrite guys. been a while since i have updated. not done a terrible ammount really.

started off by grinding all the welds on the outside of the inner wings down in
preparation for welding the wings and the front panel on.

20130824_123033_zps887ec6d3.jpg

20130824_132206_zps9bb9638b.jpg

then punched holes about an inch apart along the flanges of the wings then screwed
them into place to line everything up with the bonnet fitted. once we were happy we
started to weld the wings and front panel on.

20130824_153210_zps0f141c60.jpg

look at these tight straight bonnet gaps!

20130824_154931_zpsd915b767.jpg

thats all for the pickup today but heres a link to our other project we started today!
I Know we havent finished this one but it was at a price we could refuse!
Enjoy!
