As a 3D Pro/Eng CAD user I found this 60's Mini project thread interesting! :thumbsup:

Not bad, I am a product design student and spend alot of time on solidworks. Some of the proportions are wrong, but still not a bad attempt!!

I think i might have a go on solidworks, and see what I can product mini related :)

Think im going to have ago at doing a Midas in Solidworks, as abit of practice, will probably take me ages though.... lol :teehee: >_<

Maybe the use of a better rendering software will show better results/more realistic. autodesk 3d studio max, with vray materials.

You rendering digitally yet sam?

Thats damn good!
I have fiddled about with solidworks in Enginneering and its hard can onlymjust draw a USB stick.

I've started using AutoDesk and ProEngineer in Uni an now I know what to spend my spare time doing!

If you are clever, and maybe do a rendering service. So you charge a small fee to change certain parts of the drawing to try out ideas. Like photoshoping, but with the ability to do 3d work, so you can look from different angles. Possible business opportunity there.

You would have to own an official copy of the required CAD program to use it for business purposes, and these are not cheap.
