A bit :lol: It's an 1100, basically. Hope I've got this right, otherwise I'll look a right tit.

Being serious didnt know they were known as 'Specials'...I always presumed that term was used for Special/Limited Editions

I'l go hide now

I dunno either now. You've cast a shadow of doubt over my already dim 10w bulb of knowledge :lol: I've just called them 'Specials' since I knew they existed. Says so on the grille badge. Hit 'n' hope.

*feeling a bit "special"*

lol the specials as far as i know where made in 1979 with an 1100 engine and a black vinyl roof and some funky looking interior and came in either silver or a pink, dont quote me on the pink :lol:

edit: i forget they also came with special alloys like the ones pictured underneath :lol:

They're mini 1100 specials :) - for the 20th anniversary I believe (probably wrong)

Nice to see the model I have (sprite - the limited edition 1983 one - not rover) in original condition;

Gotta love a panoramic shot;

Shame I didn't get to drive there (as my mini broke) but got new leads and plugs to fix it from the show :D

Could have ate my dinner off this;

Have to say the imp made me smile. Don't see enough of them anymore. My dad used to let a local mechanic know when all the firebrigade sales were coming up, he used to buy all the mobile pumps as they ran coventry climax engines. He used them in his race imp.

I really liked that Sprite until I saw the 1380 in it. It just felt wrong for it to have a different engine when the rest was so original!

I forgot to take any batteries for my camera, so it was left in the car >_< Despite Apple's claims, the new iPhones camera is pants, so I won't bother posting those!

I spy my car, Orange 83 sprite infront of the Bini estate. Someone undscrewed my wiper nut so I had a lovely drive home on the m6 in the rain, with no wipers :|
