i need to sort some thicker tyres also, the wheels themselves are spot on 2.5", but the tyres are too low profile to look the part, so gonna try find some off road tyres that will fit the bill

What is the actual diameter of those rims Lewis ? Mini steels are just over 11" lip to lip. 10" for where the tyre bead sits. 1/8th buggy rims measure 3 1/4" so would give roughly 12-13" at your scale. They offer a wide range of tyres. But the rims for my buggys fit with a single 17mm nut so would look strange without a hubcap being made. Just sending you a pic of the high profile tyres i use on loose stuff.

the diameter is about 65mm, 63mm where the tyre seats, so pretty much to 1/4 scale 10" wheels, but i need to measure the depth of the tyre on the actual 10" rim and find out what depth i need the 1/4 scale tyres to be.

will check out the pic and see

bit more of an update..

sorted a power plant for this bad boy today in the form of a 49cc mini moto engine, i came to the conclusion that a stimmer engine just wouldnt have the power to shift it along due to weight, but having the mini moto engine means mid engine, so no room for a driver! poor old action man lol ive also drawn up plans for a home made diff... more on this when parts arrive! i might lose the pull start on the engine and use a drill to start it, means i can run the chain central, but then that means more weight on 1 side.. but the engine position can be finalised when ive built the diff... anyway pics :)

lol not quite ride on! but big enough! it should JUST fit in the boot of a mini when done, but even then it'll be a squeeze! lol (i hope it fits anyways! plan on takin it to a few shows with me :P )

im not keen on your engine choice. to big. youd be supprized at how cars like the baja 5b go with there 26cc engine. i though you were going for scale speed ?

how to you plan to service it? with side panels and a roof thats not gonna easy to do so and with mini moto engines ( the most unreliable engine in the world). }
i would have gone 4 stroke to for the torque .

still I DO LOVE IT

p.s. make a fibre glass version for us please :P
