haha mini mini porn! it does look good though! i might have to cut and reweld the top half of the bulkhead, but depends on how it looks with the dash top rail welded in, might of got it a little too high, but we shall see when its made and welded in!

ive always been into making things/fixing things for as long as i can remember, started off with old bmx's, then motorbikes, then minis, now mini minis lol im tempted to build another once this ones finished, maybe a pick up next time... or a van ;)

the only way to get skills is to practice, and think about what your doing, if you dont and just go at it all hammer and tongues then your gonna end up no where! patience is virtue too :P

glad everyone so far is enjoying the build! :D

Thinking the next one should be an ERA Turbo, or LAMM Cabriolet. Now there's a challenge. :-)

i was thinking that, i have a sheet of 10mm alloy, wont take much to knock up a set of 1/4 scale mk1 alloy door hinges! and it'll be easier to make than mk3 hinges, but if im doing mk1 door hinges, i might aswell make it a mk1 replica... which means a new bootlid, new door skins etc, or i could just make a hybrid lol

i could make them but not on a commercial scale, they would take a few months each to complete to and wont be cheap either due to whats involved in making them. they would all have to be hand made unless i made some press moulds and could get the panels pressed out instead of shaping them by hand, but then that kinda makes them not hand made lol

nah no new pics yet, had a weekend off from car stuff but might try knock something up later ;)

The postman should bring you a little package early next week. Claire posted them whilst i was at work yesterday. Hope the damaged one is fixable and the incomplete one saveable.

much appreciated mate, i might just use the 2 good 1s so i can mock both front and rear suspension up, then just get my hands on 2 new shocks that are the same type, should be sorting the dash top rail in a sec, cant really start the outter shell yet as need to mock up the suspension/engine lay out, once there done i can start assembling the shell :P thats the bit im lookin forward too the most! :D

Sweet if they are too short the rears on a hyper are longer. But i have a feeling the fronts i have sent maybe about right.

i thought i'd get the rear end kinda sorted, means i can source a diff from a large rc car and space frame it centrally and build the boot floor around it, then once the rear is sorted, i can source the engine and get the front end suspension set up!...
