If I can get the shell right, I'll look into getting fibreglass copies made so others can build there own but in a much quicker time lol

ive decided on a replica of my old clubvan valerie, shame i cant find any 2" x 3.3" wellers!

 

ill hopefully have most of the shell finished off on saturday, as gonna spend the whole day sorting it out, once the main shell is made, i can get the steering sorted and mount everything up to make sure it all works, then ill get it all painted!

Wont you just be able to make some wellers for it ? i mean they dont have to be balenced of anything  id give it a go ;)

They would still need to be fairly balanced or it would shake itself to death lol

Gonna base the steering around a mardave set up, keep things nice and simple

what servos are you gonna use?

I've found some big metal geared servos that are good for up to 30kgs, should be plenty strong enough if I use bearings everywhere, especially on the steering

Done some more today with a spare few hours to kill (the missus evicted me from the house so she can do her uni work) got the sides sorted and welded on, I decided to split the front end as it was awkward to get the wing shape right with the side and front all as one piece
