now that would be a challenge! lol it would take so much work to panel beat a full size mini out of flat sheet, i suppose it could be done, but it wouldnt look quite right, it'd be like a dodgey chinese copy haha

made a start on the floor today, got the exhaust tunnel sorted, and made a start on the footwells/channels that run from front to back. ive gone with an early type floor as it was easier and i prefer the look of this kind of floor anyways so everyones a winner! anyway enough waffle, heres a few pics...

I like the little bump for the starter button! Definitely a Mk 1 then.

its eventually gonna be an early mk3 replica, hence the floor pressing with the hump lol i'm using my own mini which im restoring for measurements, im just measuring eveything and dividing it by 4, to give me 1/4 scale (i think lol)

i still have to finish the footwells and channels, but once they are done i'll fold the sides to make the inner sills, and then make a cross member and weld that in to fix the seats to etc

as for your attempt at a similar thing red-hot mini, its got the basic shape there, you have to have a starting point when doing something like this, and i'd give you a 8 out of 10 for effort! :D

i dont think ill ever sell this one i'm building, but if people were seriously interested in me making them one, i'd happily do it for a price, but then again ive made things to sell before and people have said they would definitley buy one, but never do lol so we shall see! :P
