started on the independent front suspension today, just need to make the bracket for the shock absorbers to mount to and a way of bolting the wheels on (already sussed this)

The rear axle is away at an engineering shop having thread cut into it to allow me to mount the wheels, then thats all the back finished, ive also managed to sort some wheels out for the front in the way of pushchair wheels from a stroller lol right size, width n style, just need to paint the centres n get them mounted on my basic yet functional steering set up

its now rolling (on the front anyways, the rear axle is away for machining) heres a quick pic of what stage im at now

Now that the front wheels are mounted, i can start again with a front end, im thinking possibly making a 1/4 scale mould and make a fibreglass front end, might be easier than trying to form the wings/front panel from steel

Rear axle is back from the machine shop, wheels on and bolted up, perfect fit ;)

Lol I had to sort some better fitting fixings for the rear wheels and found some perfect ones on an old bmx wheel lol so it's on all 4 wheels now, just need to sort the front shock mounts out and make a brace bar to attach the top shock mounts to, so it can sit properly and I can begin to build the front end, will get pics up tomorrow

Started the front end finally, im going to make 1/4 scale fibreglass front end so so far i have got my hands on a couple of large sheets of oasis foam, which i glued together, cut in half, glued together and so on until i had 1 big block to work with, marked out the front end and got chopping/sanding/shaping/fillering to make a plug from which ill make a negative mould from, which will then i can make a positive ( being the new fibreglass front end) lets see how this 1 works out lol

Its a work in progress, only the 2nd coat of filler to shape but its getting there!
