I can't link because I'm on my phone, but on eBay, item number 290661498625 is an autograss pick up.

In the description it says no V5 and obviously can't go back on the road. In its current state it can't, but what is the reason for not being able to put it back on the road?

I'd be very interested if I could.

But...if you know what the reg was or the vin plate (which I'm guessing isn't there) then you could apply for one? Failing that, what about getting it registered and applying for a time appropriate plate?

The baulkhead has been chopped up so you might have difficulty there.

Its probably been savlaged from a scrappy

Your find many autograss pick ups are not pick ups at all they tend to be just a normal saloon back to the b post with pick up rear side panels stitched on with a semi spaceframe rear end

Fair enough. All the bits on it alone
Must be worth not too far off the asking price?

Thanks.

how are you going to prove the year it was made with no V5 or chassis number ?

putting it on the road with a Q plate would be the eaiser option

Hmm stop trying to tempt me.

I don't really know much about how the DVLA works. I was hoping I could just prove that mini pick up production finished in 83 so they can give me an 83 plate

However, if the vehicle was in fact scrapped, would there not be issues putting it on even a q plate?

Its been done before!!

http://www.theminifo...__fromsearch__1

Although that was a class1 and not a class 4. The class 4 will have had an awful amount of its pickup bits removed, load bed, inner arches etc.

I'm sure its do-able as m-machine will have the panels.

It would be a lot of work though, if the owner has the original reg then that will solve the DVLA issues.

Now we are talking. I might keep an eye on this. Id actually love to race it but being in Germany all the time doesn't help. I'm going to have a full read through of that project tomorrow! Cheers shifty!
