
Thermostat Problems

I'm sure it's meant to open at 84 degrees highest am
I right. Anyway need some ideas why water isn't flowing if it won't be because thermostat not working

I'd replace the thermostat with new as a matter of course. Due to the price of them, I've never understood the point of purring an old one back in again any way. If the coolant isn't flowing at all though, I'd probably suspect a knackered water pump.
Unfortunately a thermostat is cheaper than a 100 degree thermometer so replacing is the frugal option. If you do know anyone with an appropriate thermometer it's worth testing it though...

As above though, I'd sooner boil the water, go out and buy a new stat and gaskets etc, come home, fit new stat then make tea with boiled water.
