thats not a turd mate, that looks amazing! i love the faded paint, steels and everything else about it. what are your plans for its future?
YetI
Agreed. Loving the faded paint; If that was my car I'd be sorting it mechanically and underneath but leaving the paintwork as is.
Um, it's fixed to the point I can use it underneath, it really is a shed! That's not faded paint, that's the rusty surface brushed down and using red and white primer sprayed over the top, it has almost no interior, it had a knackered old 850 magic wand in it running on a single 1/4 su stripped from a pair, incidently the "wrong side" was used as it had the vac take off, it's rolling on old bias ply trailer tires I found for cheap in Nebraska the floor was in the process of dissapearing, I basically put the thing back together on the cheap and drive it untill it's wheel bearing imploded. It looked good, but it was a cut and shut turd you could barely get a pack of cigarets under... it drug on speed bumps but I didn't care the floor was toast... I am rebuilding something vaguely resembling it slowly and surely... But I am not going to do it as bad as we fixed that one.
So in otherwords, Yes, it very much is a polished turd

Chris
P.s. look around the windshield seal, right at the top you will see the early flat aperture, below it has the later panel lines around the seal....

Returned my classic Mini to 10" wheels last year after 15 years on 13" wheels..........new genuine Japanese export Minilite Mk 11 6x10 alloys with deeper dish ET-15 offset and fitted with Japanese Dunlop R7 Road/Race 165/70x10 tyres with the classic 1960's Dunlop CR65 tread pattern, standard ride height due to local potholes!

I know this an oldish post. Does anyone know if these deep dish 6" minilites are available in the UK?
