Great skills, ideas and courage for doing this!

courage because you must have thought about the insurance cost on this beast at the age of 18!

But I am very impressed by this project, looks like you know what you are doing!

Wow O_O .. Just read this from start to finish as well. Like everyone has already said, you & your car are completely bonkers! I really can't wait to see this completed..

Hmmm 18 eh? I wonder who'll insure you after you've got it road worthy? Heehehe ;D

Superb!
Keep up the good work. The cds tube is a good choice to fabricate. I used to bend tubes for a job a long time ago with cnc benders. The heavy wall stuff gives good smooth bends and takes a good weld. We used to make parts for Nissan motor sport tho and they used 1.5 or 2mm wall t45 tube which was stupidly expensive, a complete bugger to bend(even with ball mandrels inside the tube) and did not look strong! However it was very strong and light due to the thin wall thickness. I Dont think you would bend it on a diy bender anyway unless you had a large radius.
Anyway, with all that go, a bit of weight in the frame cant be bad!
Best of luck.
Jd

Can't believe I just found this, EPIC.

Personally I would've used the CLK Seat, purely because I know how comfy they are (Dad has a CLK)

Shortest prop shaft ever, won't get much transmission loss. (not that it would matter with this kind of weight car lol)
