Hey Liam, What kind of steel are you using for the roll cage framing?
I'm using 44.45mm x 2.4mm CDS (cold drawn seemles) tubing for everything, I think it's sapose to be used for hydraulic work.
I would like to use chromoly tubing but I can't seem to get my hands on it over here in Ireland.
The CDS i find is a bit expensive at nearly €90 for 6m of it, but it does the job for me!:)

Dude - your completely and utterly nuts! Amazing to see how quickly this is coming along now! What are you going to be doing wiring wise? Bet they're not the simplest engines to wire up?
Ya you would be right, not exactly straight foward!:S
I'm going to be using a Dash2 electronic display for everything, this in my eyes will simplify the whole wiring of the car!

that engine is so big you may aswell just stick the wheels straight onto it.

I had to get another hole saw to get me going again, since they seem to last no time for me i said id stock up!

After getting these i started to remake the rear of the mini, i wasn't really happy wit the way it was so i cut that out and started again. its not finished yet but will be tomorrow. this is the progress i have made so far.
started by making captive nuts to bolt the diff to,

yes i no the bottom of them are not exactly round but this is before i ground them down.:)

there will be quite alot more tubes around the diff when finished, wait and see!

A random pic of my poor 66 mini covered in panels in the corner of the shed!:)

also today i tried to decide which seats to use in the mini.

Yes of coarse im using the kirkey's, got them today off the courier.

Bee back again, hopefully tomorrow!
