will not a mustache fit straight around my grill? its a mk1 grill that i have i have just fitted the mk3 mk4 type of chrome edging to match the bonnet chrome lip..
You sure thats a mk1 grille? does it have a different type chrome peice running along the bottom if so I don't think that a mk1 grille. You can always test fit it and see what it's like.
dont no lol never really looked at the difference apart from the chrome edging strips and its in full on a mk1. when i brought the grill it had mk1 style on the packaging. cheers tom

hi all it has been over a year now and the mini is still going strong early this week i decided to do some things on it to keep it in good condition i wanted a mk1 bootlid fitted that i had spare so i had it painted to the same color and got it back yesterday and this morning i fitted it and what a difference it makes really happy with the finish of the paint and how it looks. the rear quarter has a little dot showing threw where it was not welded up and the filler has started to push out what is a put off when looking at it so its booked in to have the rear quarter welded and repainted next friday so can not wait to get that out the way. i am on about having the wheels painted a different color to set it of but i can not think of a color that would suit it. at first i thought black centers with a silver outline or gun metal grey centers not quit sure atm. calipers i will be giving some color not sure on what yet. and going to give it a general clean up in the engine bay and interior. here is some pictures of the bootlid now thanks tom
before
now
o and sorry cliff ino how much work you put into my old bootlid light plate ile keep hold of it with the other bootlid :)

That definitely looks better with the new boot lid, and I recon the wheels should be black with silver/metal outer rim.
