Yes you don't need a reverse light for an MOT.

Although if you have the light and it is not working that would be a failure.

No, you do need a rear fog though depending on what year your car is.

yes mate mine is a 91 so its going to need a reverse light and a fog light. i only wanted to no if i can mount a reverse light into a foglight and attach it to the boot like the picture you have sent me. and would a mot station pass it. cheers tom

Ok thats cool so, will you put the fog light on the boot instead? or under the bumper as it sounds like you will still need the fog light. Or you could put the fog light under the bumper temporalrily just for the mot. As i reckon it looks better with nothing under the bumper.

hi mate looks like i will have to have the foglight under the bumper as the reverse light will be going on the boot lid i dont think there is another place to mount it.

yeah that will be a big step, yeah more of a renovation than a full strip down
