(This was on a VW golf) Its only about 20mm lower than standard and not on the floor like some cars you see.

It's just to cover his back, one of those things I would guess. Like if you take you passenger seat out so the seatbelts aren't tested then the advisory would rear 'no passenger seat' so if you put one back in and VOSA pulled it up with no seatbelt the MOT man is covered, I wouldn't worry about it.

Are advisories 'things that are borderline a fail' or can they just be helpful advisory notes, 'incase you didn't know, the vehicle has been lowered'
