How do you feel about a bit of pinstriping?
Think a bit of silver would look stunning

don't think Ratty will be ready for Himley Hall, need to get some
door rubbers , window channels and a new door glass.. plus
other time consuming jobs !!I'll have
to go in the Corsa and get some parts instead
Well I've got a set or two of door glass with channels going sparewill only be broken up and binned along with the other boxes of random mini stuff I've got fed up of having to find room for in the garage otherwise…
its wind up window mk4 type i have, window frame channels needed
Yep it’s the wind up ones; don’t particularly need them any more as I’ve now got polycarb mk1 sliding windows and the only way I can revert bask to buy another pair off doors.

and the boot lid, so flatted them both down, re-sprayed the red on
both the doors and the boot lid, had a scare though, got to about 2''
from the bottom of the boot lid and the paint ran out

I got the paint tin and added some hardener and thinner to it then
poured this into the gun, this was s**t or bust, not sure if it was too
thin. well gave the last bit of the boot a couple of quick passes and
thankfully covered ok

Next job after leaving a couple of days to harden off is to flat off and laquer.
Started on the petrol tank, due to the time restriction decided to alter
the existing tank rather than fabricating the Ally one, so I have cut off
the filler neck and left a flange on it, got to blank off the old filler hole.
going to re-mount the neck on the rear of the tank, the filler neck being
accessed via the boot opening.
