Sa mini, you've either got to stick with it, scrap it and forget about it or
the other option is to buy a heritage shell (£2800), so i decided to stick with it ,
take my time and do it when i can, at least you can put your own mark on
it and know that it's your own work.

Aye agreed with Freddy...
Minis are one of those cars where its either bite the bullect and weld it... or scrap it!

Its sooooo much easier to weld it!

Looks awesome by the way Freddy... Wish I had a welder as good as yours, and I would save a little money on griding disks lol

Cheers Dogman, my welds should be good as i am certified, but i still need the grinder some times :bah:
surface prep is the key, easiest way to set your plant, set it to a power setting ie middle setting, strike up
on some scrap while welding alter the wire speed untill you get an even crackling ( like bacon sizzling)
if wire is too slow it will burn back and and drop off in blobs, if it is too fast it will stub into the weld
and make the torch 'judder'.
if the power setting is too high for the material thickness ie burning through, reduce the power setting
and re-set the wire speed.

You probably already know this but i thought i would just point it out if if is any help.

the plant i am using is 250 amps , dosn't realy like it on a low amp setting.

But i'll manage :D

probably the latter. plus other panels are needed
