well been out for a couple of hours this afto, have removed the boot, primed up ready, still
a couple of imperfections to sort out. pirimed up the boot flange and window opening.
glass front is all primed, all coming on strong now..

Just a note for you lot, got some enamel primer from wilkinsons today only £3.60 a can but
covers really well.. i got some from work which is good stuff but costs £13 a can !!!!

i'll stick some more pics on tomorrow..

just read your thread from start to finish and i must say you do amazing work mate. loving the exhaust and smoothed front, it fits so well against the a panels, wish mine did lol

out of interest what did you make you internal boot hinges out of? been wanting to do some for mine for a while as with no valance or bumper external ones look out of place

think i used 4mm plate and cut them out. did a sort of question mark shape '?'

Not really, got an original 1300 gt with double valve springs (nearest to a cooper 's')
fast road 648 kent cam, lightened flywheel, central oil pickup, electronic distributer, 1 3/4 hif carb,
then twin 1 1/2 later on, rad fan replaced with an electric one, heater removed.

also got an A+ motor which i hope to 1380 at some point..

make a fuel tank or modify the original sort out a sender, fit a stronger boot lid solenoid, hang and
sort out the o/s door and sill, re wire the whole car sort out fuel pump etc, modify wiper ( to single wiper),
modify door windows ( no winders), fit carbon door mirrors fit fixed rear quarter windows, sort out electric
front window demister, spray two tone, most of the interior is done or can be completed when on
the road, oh yes 'MOT' ....

just remembered 9.5'' discs up front with Jonspeed grooved discs and performance pads
with aluminium pistons poly bushes all round , quick release poly engine mounts, metal
home made rear front subframe mounts, strengthened front shocker mounts , neg camber
radius arm brackets
