Your weber box looks central - when fitted the webber sits off to one side, not dead in the middle, and would probably foul the box. Obviously not a problem if you don't intend to fit a weber!




No not fitting a webber, just something to do !!!

seriously, just thought it would give more space round the su filter.

Done a litle job at work before i left, cut and tigged up the
carb box then primed,

a couple of pics in situ,

just got to pop it out and sort out the loom position then seal and rivet
in place...

Been out tonight and fitted the carb box, had to remove the loom
so need to re-route it.

been out tonight, gave the carb box and top part of the bulk head a few more
coats of paint to tie it all in.

looking after a mates engine hoist while he sorts out his garage, so I
decided to stick the engine in, need it in to let the suspention settle so
I can fit the front arches.

The intention is Not to build a show car !!

This will be an every day well driven and
abused car. so a prestine finish seems pointless.

It was bought to use to go to and from work
originally, and that is what it will be used for when
it is complete. obviously i will go to shows but not
to compete as it is not really my scene.

sorry minifiz didn't mean to sound aggressive,
just that when i bought the car i was hoping to do a couple of repairs
and start using for work.. but as you can see from the posting it
needed a bit more work than anticipated. i had to buy another car
to use for work. it's been 2 years and i finally seem to be getting somewhere
( doesn't help with me keeping altering things) :dontgetit: anyway thanks for the

one other reason i called it the 'RAT' is that the
reg no starts 'RRT' if you squint it looks like 'RAT' :xxx: :)
