I'm also running my "important stuff" inside the car (fuel, brakes, battery)

did you use solid pipe? or flexi stuff for the brakes/fuel?

Yet another reason to watch this project carefully! :D I recently looked into a single wiper system. I couldn't work out how to do it without having a Mercedes-esque wiper blade system. I realised the Mini windscreen doesn't allow the wiper to be too long, and that when the wiper is central to the windscreen its not really long enough to wipe the whole screen.

Agreed, it will be tricky unless you use the merc system. I would probably just keep the drivers side wiper, if thats legal.. :D I'm sure you'll figure it out! Looking good by the way.

There is a prescribed area that I'm sure the wipers have to clear for the MOT?

Your weber box looks central - when fitted the webber sits off to one side, not dead in the middle, and would probably foul the box. Obviously not a problem if you don't intend to fit a weber!
