Bloody hell you don't mess about! I might be a little worried about heat near that filler? might be an idea to put an aluminum shield around the area.. :D

may put a heat sheild round the outlets ,ie a piece of oval ally sheet

If it were me making that, I'd be tempted to make the box with a bolt-down lid, so you could get to it fairly easily if needed, and then fill it with glass fibre, to make it a bit quieter inside!

Where does the box finish internally? Does it finish handily close to the exhaust tunnel? Or is it overlapping a bit?

Hmmm, you sure you can have part of the exhaust system in the car?

When my exhuast was blowing, it gave me a blinding headache and made me feel sick as a dog somehow! And my exhaust is definately outside!

just got to shorten the inlet pipe a bit or cut a bit more of the
tail pipes and it will be ok, will be making a removeable cover
with some foam heat resistant sheet inside..

will be having the joint in the tunnel, if it does cause problems i'll
cut the floor out and weld a box in :D

looking good, the pics of the green mini with the side exit exhaust is my mates Simon OSullivan's mini which was in miniworld last year I think it was, lovely little trick like a few other mods on the car it self

been out for an hour tonight, done a bit more work on the exhaust
outlet, primed up.

definately is a spot on mini, just the style i am going for ( not meaning to copy)
i've got that issue of Miniworld that's where i first saw it. luurrrvly

Been out this afto, cut out the floor for the exhaust box

had to cut and set the tail pipes at an angle so the inlet pipe
enters the tunnel
