I've just been taking a look at your photos on photobucket. Those brace bars for you flip-front look fantastic. Did you make them yourself?

I have the normal square section brace bars on my flip-front but I much prefer your round version.

Luke.

Yes Luke, I made them at work using a manual pipe bender.

There could be a market for them! I would be interested in a set and maybe others would too.

Luke.

don't think the bosses would like me to start making them to sell, plus it's a bit time
consuming doing them by hand.

Looking great Freddy! Arches look spot on. What wheels are you planning on running?

I got some 13'' alloys with the car when i bought it, running 175 tyres but they are
inset dish, to use them i'll have to have spacers 1/2 or so as they sit too far inside
the arches. would like starmags or deep dish super lights.
was toying with using steel 13'' wheels the same colour as the car with a chrome hub cap

this sort of thing

but with some offset.

I've looked at most of your resto (I don't get on here much) You've done a cracking job, wish you was my next door neighbour! As for the wheels, I'd go for your idea mate.

had a word with my old man tonight about putting together
my own wheels, as he built his own for one of his hot rods.
he told me you can't buy seperate rims anymore as you are
not allowed to build your own wheels anymore 'bummer'

but we'll have to see what i can come up with.
