went out the other day and after giving the garage a much needed tidy up decided to have a look at the carbs,
Had to cut down the linkage bars as the 1 1/2 HIF's are wider than 1 1/4's so need a shorter bar, the choke
mechanism only needs the bar and the two forked prongs as the cable attaches to the swivel locator plate
The throttle bar also needed cutting , but due to the gap between the locators being narrower I had to
cut down the forked prongs to enable me to fit the actuator arm, I now need to locate the forks and arm
in the correct position then weld them together..
Next thing to do will be to make a cable support bracket to mount onto the manifold and then sort out
the cable clamping.....
As you can see on this picture I have used carb spacers with built in vacumm take offs, I have
used these to allow for easy balancing the airflow.....
And that's where I am for now....

Uprade to a Laminated screen now perhaps ? ;) how big was the stone haha

Ouch, I bet that was a bit scary. It doesn't take a big stone to shatter a toughened screen just a fast one.

well had a lack of concentration while attempting to put my harness on while driving....
drove into the lane devider.. took the corner off my arch
Used apoxy resin to glue the broken bit on and a small steel rule and g clamps to hold in place
after it hardened sanded down to allow building up
then used glass fibre filler to build back the profile
I then used the sander to shape the glass fibre
Just to give it colour I then primed and sprayed it with some green paint I had....... Will leave it like this
for now until I alter the arches
