Today popped out to the local car spares shop to get a copper sealing ring for my colourtune kit, got back home, firstly decided to set the ignition timing as I've had trouble with starting him ( not turning over well) . used a timing light and found the timing was quite a way out. Also colour tuned the fuelling , this wasn't too bad , slightly rich, will take him for a spin tomorrow to see how he is.... Also decided to fit the door handle escoucheans Posted Image

Just to report , the replacement engine is running sweet .... engines quiet and has also made the exhaust quieter due to no modded cam being fitted , modded head and also a standard 1 1/2 hif carb... bonus for the neighbours but I miss the rourtiness and uneaven engine toneon idle......

hopefully tomorrow afternoon will get my front tyres swapped over ready for the run to Bingley and will be going to get some bolts for the 4 pot calipers from the local fixings shop ...
