Received the gas strut I ordered off Ebay today ,£3.20 new , Fitted it to the boot floor and boot lid
next to the hinge mounting. trying to stop the boot lid from just dropping open when released.

Got a new boot vinyl done today, hopefully apply it tomorrow ...

went out to the mini this morning, turned the wipers on and nothing... could hear the
motor wirring but no movement .. took the winder cover off and found that the worm drive cable
had snapped



luckily i've got the other Mini on the drive so I robbed that one , saves me buying one lol..
had to cut it down to fit , all working now..

already mentioned it to Roofless , i need to send him a colour swatch for him to match . think ill have the engine green and black aswell . thinking of gt stripes as a possibility........ hows yours going?

Looking good, been popping my head in seeing how it's going every few days and it's come along nicely. Think I prefer the new colour to be honest, just need the wheel caps to finish it off

I think something more could be done wheel wise though, whether it simply be put a green pinstripe around the edge or maybe even a change;

Will probably give the wheels a fresh coat of satin , deffo getting new centres , just got to get a colour
sample to Roofless, green calipers and hubs ( hopefully Minifins ) and will be having a black engine
bay with green block and black rocker cover .....

Well what about the green pinstripe like the wheel above but green obviously! Could be done with your existing alloy as well, especially with your talent with all things mini.
