The inner wings have been done with black stone chip as this is an everyday car, engine bay will be sorted when the engine is swapped.

The wheels are the same as before , just need new centres .

On the way home Yesterday had a litle problem , the boot opened about 4 times ,ended up strapping it up , when I got home I undid the cable clamp and noticed I had inadvertenly put some tension
on the cable causing it to be retracted so I loosened it off . went work this morning and the boot stayed closed . During my dinner I elongated the mounting holes and re-fitted the lock , all is well now :-)

Made a new cover for boot access hole in the rear seat panel , made it out of barley aluminium sheet
then sprayed it satin black , popped out this evening and fitted it .

Got a steering wheel off a lad at work, but doesn't have a boss . So I decided to take the boss
off the wheel I was already using , I had to weld this on to the old wheel ..

I first had to make a steel mounting ring , I used some 6mm steel plate for this , had to hole
saw a hole in the centre for the securing nut to go through , then I had to drill and tap six
wheel fixing holes, finally I had to weld the the three legged splined mounting to the ring.

spent the last 3 days reading this build while at work. absolutly amazing custom work and im loving the green. was so pissed off when i read about the crash i was just thinking brilliant ive read 160 odd pages to find out its gonna be written off! but fair play looks better than ever now. easy to see a lot of hard work and skill has gone into this!

also the green looks quality especially with the black roof and wheels.

cheers Sam , only down side to having it sprayed at work is that I haven't done it , where before I had done
all the work ..... Might be getting some carbon for it soon..
